The Small Choir - Serendipity

Hadleigh Choral Society’s ‘small choir for hire’ takes its name from ‘the faculty of making happy chance finds’. The group of 20-24 singers, who came together initially to sing at weddings in the Hadleigh area, has performed regularly since 2002.

We sing a wide variety of music, sacred and secular, accompanied or a capella. Our range is from madrigals to show songs, from cantatas to spirituals, from anthems to folk songs!

We are available for weddings, memorial services and funerals, village events, Christmas celebrations, etc

As an enjoyable change to being ‘on hire’, we have also appeared at the Ipswich Music Day, having opened the proceedings in the Classical Music Stage event, and have performed at harvest celebrations at Semer Church and flower festivals at Holton St Mary, and Flowton.

In response to the Tsunami disaster, an impromptu concert was organised featuring Serendipity together with local artists, which raised £1000 for the UNICEF appeal.
