Mendelssohn's Elijah, St Mary's Church Hadleigh, November 2019

Welcome to Hadleigh Choral Society

We are a friendly mixed-voice choir that has been around for over 100 years.

Under the direction of Christopher Phelps, we perform a mainly classical repertoire with two concerts a year in the beautiful St Mary's Church, Hadleigh, with Colchester Symphony Orchestra and professional soloists.

We also stage a summer programme of lighter music and a Christmas celebration.

Our very successful Mozart and Haydn concert in November was followed by a sociable, and musical, Celebration of Christmas. Now we are looking forward to rehearsals for our Spring programme which will feature Dvořák's wonderful Requiem.

Our Spring term begins on Tuesday 13th January, and as always, we welcome new singers. Why not join us for our free singing exploration morning, Saturday 17th January from 9:15-12:15 at the Ansell Centre as we learn all about this glorious choral work.  Music and refreshments will be provided.

You will find the Ansell Centre next to Hadleigh URC church in the Market Place, IP7 5DL.
